The Strength (Reversed): love, money, profession, health, spirituality

The Strength is the major arcana number 8

Strength is a card of great significance, very encouraging in position to the right , indicating strength, courage, patience, control, compassion, among many other things. When the Strength appears reversed it indicates weak physical and mental attitudes, insecurity, lack of self-discipline and diminished will.

Kabbalistics associates this card with the planet Saturn , with the letter  Kath and with the number  11 ( the hidden forces ).

Esoterically they  are associated with the astrological sign of Leo , the fire element and the summer season .
In numerology it  represents the number  11 , but also 2, (11 = 1 + 1 = 2 ).

The Strength: Card Description

The Strength card  is presented on the chart with the following elements: Under a golden or yellowish sky, a woman gently caresses a lion on the forehead and lower jaw.

The woman looks up at the lion with a peaceful smile on her face and appears to be successfully taming the wild beast. The fact that the Strength card is represented by a woman indicates that it does not focus on pure physical strength .

She has the symbol of infinity (the Lemniscate) above her head, the same symbol is seen in the Magician, who also presents a sky of the same color.

The white robe that the woman wears is an indication that she is an innocent person, indicating purity of spirit. The blue mountain in the background is the same phallic symbol seen in the Lovers.

The lion is a symbol of our animal passions and desires. The animal is sticking out its tongue and thus, it is presumed that it is not going to bite it, since animals that are preparing to bite do not stick their tongues out. This lion is pleased with the presence of the woman and gives himself to her.

The woman defeats the lion with a silent force that can only come from within .
His left arm represents mental exertion, while his right arm represents physical exertion. Your right arm is simply holding, while your left arm is exerting all the pressure.

The woman is without any protection in an open, very green field and wears a crown of flowers on her head and an identical crown, much larger, with which she surrounds the lion. The crown represents the most beautiful expression of nature and transitory life.

The Strength (Reversed) – General meaning

In inverted position, this card represents weak physical and mental attitudes, insecurity, lack of self-discipline and diminished will.

It does not indicate that you are not strong, but due to certain circumstances you are very weak now, especially regarding your own value and self-esteem.

You may need advice from friends, the love of a family environment, or even the opinion of a therapist to regain your strength, worth, and esteem.

You may be going through a slump as a result of a recent failure, be it emotional, financial or work. This has made you question things now, your own life, the path chosen, if it is worth it or has been worth it.

Although in this state it is difficult to see the light and find the strength to find the exit, you must remember that everything is temporary, that this too will pass and your strength is only numb now. You will get it back.

Hold on to others or the environment, look at the rest of the things you have, the positive in your life and be grateful for all the other gifts and blessings that you surely have.

The Strength (Reversed) – In Love Tarot Reading

The couple or the relationship can now be in great stability. The future and life together are being questioned.

It is possible that your doubts have to do with your low self-esteem, that you do not feel like the right person for your partner and this makes you wonder why he loves you and is by your side. One of you can be cold, distant, and even calculating.

You must be careful with questions about the relationship, especially if they are based on your doubts and not on concrete facts. Pushing too hard can get things out of control and can have an unpleasant result.
You need to regain trust, both in yourself, mainly, and in your partner.

The Strength (Reversed) – In Job or Profession Tarot Reading

There aren’t many breakthroughs at work. Ideas do not appear, you have great apathy, a feeling of fatigue, boredom and dissatisfaction. It is not the right time for big changes in your current job, nor for you to seek new horizons.

You must calm down and trust that this will pass. If you push too much, if you resist, you will only complicate things because the results will not appear. They will come in due time, regardless of how you feel.

Try to find a balance and perform your part and functions in the best possible way, until you come out of this weakened state.

The Strength (Reversed) – In Money Tarot Reading

The Strength indicates a bit of bad luck, unforeseen and perhaps large expenses. Also the possibility that you are scammed in your good will and depending on other cards, even losses due to theft or deceit.

In general, it is a time when you should not invest or risk, nor should you apply for credits or loans. Major purchases should be postponed. You are weak in terms of strength, will and intelligence, therefore your decisions may be correct for us at this time.

If you are in a moment of prosperity and money is not a worrying issue, do not assume that this can last forever, monitor the state of things, keep an eye on your accounts and businesses, take care of your job.
This is not a good time to ask for salary increases or to risk gambling.

The Strength (Reversed) – In Health Tarot Reading

No big efforts for now, you are not in shape. You can be either very weak or very tired from stress. Neither large treatments nor operations are advisable, unless they are strictly necessary to perform them.

Your health on travel can deteriorate, due to fatigue or atypical diseases. Eating well, not doing extreme diets and routine and normal exercise, without demands.

Given the bad time you are going through, there may be some temptation to bad habits, such as alcohol, drugs or drugs, so be very careful, do not let yourself be overcome by despair because things will be solved.

The Strength (Reversed) – In Spirituality Tarot Reading

The reversed strength card does not mean that you are physically or spiritually weak; on the contrary, it is a reminder that you have the strength within you, and that it probably goes far beyond what you know or imagine you have.

If you have difficulty seeing inside yourself now, the most advisable thing is rest and contact with nature. You can travel if you have the possibility, but sitting for a few minutes in your garden, looking at the sky from your window or simple things like that can stimulate you and do you good. Put you back on the ground.

Find something natural to lean on, a beautiful view, a waterfall, or an old tree. So remember that the strength and beauty in that scene or that object is an integral part of a whole and that you are in that whole too, you are that too.
